Flo's Guide to Growing your very own avocado tree.

 

Have you ever wondered where avocados come from?

 

Well here are a few tips on how to grow your very own plant.

 

Step 1

 

Buy an avacado from your local veg shop. Carefully remove the stone from the middle of the avocado, then treat yourself to an avocado and chilli salad.

 

Step 2

 

Look at the avocado stone. You will notice that one end is slightly pointier than the other. Grab a small pot with a hole for drainage in the bottom.

 

Step 3

 

Get your pot and pop some compost in it to about half way.

 

Step 4

 

Grab your avocado stone and plop it in your pot, with the pointy end pointing to the sky.

 

Step 5

 

Fill up the rest of the pot with compost, then water. Leave it on a warm windowsill and wait for the magic to begin. Water when the soil is dry...
