Growing Gardens Sign

This is a sign the volunteers made at the beginning of the year, i remembered it today and thought it might be nice to share it with everyone on the blog. It was made by all the garden volunteers and our growing links group which works with people with mental health and or learning difficulties. The hanging has been created out of recycled fabrics which have all been hand made and sewn. It can now be seen hanging in our farms cafe.

Today in the garden

What we get up to.....

Today we decided to document an afternoon in the garden. Alex is a regular volunteer in the garden, she has been coming as long as i have worked there! Alex has her own bed to tend, this year she is growing tomatos celery purple sprouting brocolli and now cape gooseberrys. It was a glorious afternoon after all the heavy rain we have had the rest of the day.
